View from Frankrigsgade Kollegium at 7am in the morning.
My apartment on Sankt Pauls gade
This is the PB43 space that we’ve been having our lectures. It is an old industrial site that has been converted into galleries.
There was a fire in the suburbs nearby, it could be seen from our balcony. We took a break from painting to watch the fire trucks put it out.
This is where I sometimes work during the week. Its the Områdefornyelsen, which is the municipality “city office.” I get most of my research done here, it has fast internet and a nice kitchen. During my first week in Copenhagen, the office had the winners of “Europan 2011” give a talk about their plans for developing a square in Skt. Kjelds Kvarter (the neighborhood where I am working).
As part of the lecture series I’m a part of, we used this industrial space called PB43, which is heated by a wooden stove. Nils Norman is an artist from London who is teaching in Copenhagen, and gave a talk about the evolution of the playground. Belinda Tato is a Harvard professor, and she gave her talk about some of the projects she’s done to convert public space into becoming more inclusive and useable.
The view is different every day.
This is the view from my window. It snowed this morning.
